Our
Story
Alpha 7 was founded in 2022 by Ian and Amanda Anderson. Both are successful Caterham racers with over 50 race wins between them.
Based in Hingham Norfolk, and adjacent to the former Caterham Formula 1 team, we draw upon the extensive heritage and expertise of Norfolk’s renown motorsport sector. Whatever your Caterham requirements we aim to deliver exceptional service, outstanding support and genuine affordability.
MEET The
Alphas
Our passionate team has a combined experience of over 75 years – covering every aspect of Caterham 7 maintenance, build, servicing and support for both race and road cars.
IAN
Ian first became involved with Caterhams in 1996, when he built a Caterham 7 from a factory supplied kit.
Since then, he’s competed in and won Graduates championships and spent a few years in semi-professional racing before making a return to Caterham racing in 2023. In 2024 he will race in selected rounds while focusing on team and driver management.
Ian was formerly a Divisional Managing Director in the Fresh Produce industry.
AMANDA
Amanda won her first Caterham race in 2005 as part of the national female motor racing competition, ‘Formula Woman’.
Since then, Amanda has won a Caterham Graduates championship and was the British Women’s Racing Drivers Champion in 2012 and 2013.
Amanda competed with Ian in the semi-professional Britcar and GT Cup. In 2023 returned to Graduates racing in the 150 class and moved into car, team and driver management with Alpha 7.
Amanda is the founder of ‘People First’ an organisation that supports individuals to thrive in the workplace.
TEAM ALPHA
Meet our accomplished team at Alpha 7. Led by Craig, our Senior Race Engineer and supported by Matty, our esteemed number one mechanic, each member brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to our operations.
Other members also help behind the scenes, including Nicky, Charlotte and Suzie. Our team is committed to delivering excellence in every expect of our work. With a collective focus on precision, innovation and performance, we are poised to achieve remarkable results.
